Regarding blackberries in Chile, production (also known locally as “zarzamora”) is mainly concentrated in the Maule Region, although it is also found in other regions such as Ñuble, Valparaíso, and Los Ríos. Chile is a significant global exporter of frozen blackberries, which drives ongoing research in genetics and crop improvement to enhance efficiency and product quality.
